EFT Coach: Meet Lynn | EFT Coaching for Women

EFT Coach Meet Lynn: Although I have been in the mental health field for 38 years and am a licensed Marriage and Family therapist here in Phoenix AZ since 1993, my EFT coaching practice for women is separate from and not a part of my psychotherapy practice. I will not advise, diagnose, treat, or manage your mental health disorders. If at any time in our work together I feel you would benefit from working with a licensed psychotherapist, I will work with you to find someone who can assist you in that area.

EFT Coach: Meet Lynn

Hi, I’m Lynn Hoyland, a Certified EFT Tapping Coach. I work with women who feel emotionally overwhelmed in their relationships—especially those affected by a loved one’s drinking, using, or unpredictable behavior.

If you’re someone who’s tried everything to help or fix the situation, and you’re still feeling drained, EFT coaching may offer a different kind of support: one that focuses entirely on you and how you want to feel moving forward.

My Background

My Background: EFT Coach: Meet Lynn

I grew up in Decatur, Illinois and have lived in Phoenix, Arizona for over 30 years. I earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and later completed a master’s program in Marriage and Family Therapy. My work experience includes decades of working with people in emotional pain, stuck patterns, or complicated life situations.

While my coaching is separate from my past clinical work, I bring a deep respect for the resilience it takes to navigate difficult relationships—and a calm, grounded presence to support you through your own process.

What I Love

I’ve always felt a deep connection with animals. I share my home with two beautiful Abyssinian cats named Quinn and George and several ferals I care for daily. My previous cats—Max, Mikey Jones, and Christopher—were my emotional companions for many years and remain a meaningful part of my story.

I also began painting in 2012, working mostly in charcoals and textured acrylics. Much of my work is inspired by African culture, and painting gives me a way to express things that are beyond words—grief, love, and emotional transformation.

EFT Coach: Meet Lynn the Turning Point

In 1989, I began my own recovery journey after struggling silently for years with alcohol. That decision was a turning point, and I’ve been in recovery ever since. I’ve seen up close what addiction can do to individuals and families—and what’s possible when someone chooses to heal.

While I don’t offer recovery coaching or addiction treatment, I understand what it’s like to live on both sides of the experience. EFT became part of my own healing journey, and I now use it as a tool to help others manage the emotional weight they’re carrying.

My Passions

My love of animals is deep and profound…as is my grief when I’ve lost them. Which leaves me with my two beautiful Abyssinians, Quinn and George. It is almost impossible to describe the delight I get from them every day. Oh!, and one feral who come for dinner every night who I love dearly.

Theory of Continuing Bonds

I have had four horses in my life 3 who have passed which was excruciatingly painful. I make riding my horse part of my day, every day. In 2022, my two kitties Mikey Jones and Christopher both went to Rainbow Bridge. They were both 18 1/2 and had been with me for 17 1/2 years. It was heartbreaking, I miss them every day.

I would like to give a special shout out to my soul kitty Max who I loved more than anything in the world.

And then there is my beautiful Pippin girl, who passed in the Spring of 2021. Pippin was a feral that came to my back door two and a half years ago. I lost her to a very aggressive cancer this year. As painful as it was to lose her, I know in my heart I loved her more than anything. I am so grateful that I was able to give her a beautiful life.

Lastly, deep love to all of those beautiful souls that came before them that have blessed my life in unimaginable ways.

Art Work

In 2012, I started to paint. “My charcoals and paintings are African in nature. The African culture is fascinating to me: their tribes, clothing, jewelry, and customs. I was not raised in a diverse environment. I feel as though I have found a way of understanding this culture more by studying and drawing them.

Working with a palette knife and heavy texture is probably my most favorite. The heavy medium and metallic acrylics bring beautiful form, texture and movement to the canvas. As incredibly difficult as they can sometimes be in the process the final result has been worth the struggle. Which, in reality, is really a metaphor for any adversity we might face in our lives….

Therapy Vs. EFT Coaching with Lynn

I have been a counselor almost all of my life.

As mentioned above I have worked in the field of mental health for 38 years. I have worked in all different levels of care, and private practice for the last 25 years.

Being in the mental health field for so many years has obviously given me a skill set. To be honest, when I discovered EFT coaching, I was blown away. It was the “missing piece” that I had been looking for in working with my clients. The combination of tapping on the points along with focusing on the issue and the results that I’ve seen have been remarkable.

My EFT Coaching Practice

EFT Coach: Meet Lynn For Women Vs Psychotherapy

This discovery has led me to develop my EFT coaching practice separate from my psychotherapy practice. While I bring years of experience to my EFT coaching practice, I will be working with you only as an EFT coach which is very different from psychotherapy.

Psychotherapy is licensed heath care service and coaching is a non-licensed, unregulated service. The purpose of psychotherapy is to alleviate psychological disorders and coaching is not appropriate for clients with psychological disorders. Coaching is a professional relationship in which the coach partners with the client to help the client meet specific, tangible goals.

What to Expect from EFT Coaching

Although there is no guarantee that EFT coaching works for everyone, in my opinion it is well worth the risk. The growing number of research studies suggest that EFT is as effective as many of the more traditional psychotherapy models, and from what I’ve seen so far…I believe it to be true.

My coaching style is honest, grounded, and supportive. I offer a safe space to sort through what’s happening—without judgment, pressure, or advice. You won’t be told what to do or feel. Instead, I’ll guide you through the EFT process so you can begin to hear your own clarity again.

EFT coaching for women is not about fixing your relationship or changing someone else. It’s about helping you shift how you relate to your emotions, your patterns, and your power.
